At Verdeterre Contracting, building a strong team culture is just as important as the work we do. That’s why we were thrilled to host our recent picnic at Ford Field, where nearly 100 team members and their families gathered for an unforgettable day of fun, food, and fellowship.

A Unique Venue for a Special Event

Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions, provided a unique backdrop for our event. Hosting our picnic dinner in a private club overlooking the field was a highlight for many attendees. The sense of excitement and the opportunity to experience such an iconic venue added an extra layer of enjoyment to the day.

A Family-Friendly Picnic with Plenty of Activities

As the evening began, our team and their families enjoyed a delicious picnic dinner with a wide variety of options to suit everyone’s tastes. The setting was perfect for mingling, sharing stories, and catching up with colleagues outside the workplace.

After dinner, it was time for games on the field. We set up several activities, including flag football, relay races, and a variety of lawn games that everyone could enjoy. Kids and adults alike took to the field with enthusiasm, and the laughter and cheers echoed throughout the stadium.

Exploring Ford Field with Private Tours

In addition to the games, we also offered private tours of Ford Field in small groups of 10. These tours provided an inside look at the stadium’s facilities and history. Our team members and their families were able to explore areas typically off-limits to the public, making the experience even more memorable.

Strengthening Our Team Culture

The Verdeterre Contracting picnic was more than just a fun event; it was an opportunity to strengthen the bonds within our team. Spending time together outside of work allows us to build connections, share experiences, and create lasting memories.

The relaxed atmosphere at Ford Field encouraged team members to interact in new ways, fostering a sense of camaraderie that will carry over into our work. It’s these moments that remind us of the value of a strong team culture and why we continue to invest in events like this.

Looking Ahead to Future Events

The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many people expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to spend time with their colleagues and families in such a unique setting. The success of the picnic has inspired us to plan similar events in the future, with the goal of continuing to foster our close-knit community at Verdeterre Contracting.

As we look ahead, we’re excited about the possibilities for more gatherings, more games, and more shared moments. Whether it’s a picnic at Ford Field or another exciting location, we’re committed to creating experiences that bring our team together and celebrate the incredible people who make Verdeterre Contracting a great place to work.
